Excellent, well made and moder dispenser!, May 24, 2007 By Adam (Missouri) - See all my reviews This review is from: Tayama 63 Quart Rice Dispenser (Kitchen) I purchased this rice dispenser because we eat rice almost every day in my family and we were becoming tired of having to go down to our pantry in the basement to fill up the rice cooker bowl. Also, dipping into the bulk rice bag often caused spills and rice sticking to feet as we made our way back upstairs. This dispenser holds 33 lbs of rice. The dispenser has 3 buttons, one button is for one cup (japanese cup--a little less than U.S. cup) which is perfect measurement for our Zojirushi rice cooker. If we want to make 5 cups rice, we push third button (3 cups) and then second button (2 cups) and the measurement is not perfect (I measured it out with the cups to check for accuracy) but pretty close to where we wouldn't have to use measuring cups. I like how the rice will stay fresh and dry in this dispenser and I recommend it to anyone who uses a lot of rice!
Good for storage, April 10, 2008 This review is from: Tayama 63 Quart Rice Dispenser (Kitchen) I purchased this item for the storage and that part works well. It also has a dispensing feature on it..........that part does not work. It has a 1cup, 2cup & 3cup button but when I measure the rice it does not equal the cup that came with my Zojirushi rice maker. It does have a compartment that makes it easy to use my rice cup.
